Georgia, it’s time to show up.
Georgia, election season isn’t over just yet!
If you care about protecting your right to vote, then you MUST vote in Georgia’s Secretary of State runoff election this Tuesday, December 4th.
This election is very critical because the Secretary of State is also Georgia’s chief election officer, meaning they are responsible for a wide range of services, regulatory duties, and the monitoring of ALL election activity including:
- Managing Georgia’s voter registration process
- Overseeing municipal, state, county, and federal elections
- Certifying all election results
- Acting as the Chairman of the State Election Board, that when necessary, investigates election fraud
When we analyzed young people’s access to democracy, we found that Georgia has a majority of policies that restrict people’s right to vote. Now is your chance to take a stance and fight back. You have the opportunity to elect a candidate who aligns with your values and advocates for inclusive voting policies.
The office was previously held by Governor-elect Brian Kemp. Now, Democrat John Barrow and Republican Brad Raffensperger are facing off to become Georgia’s new Secretary of State.
This is not the election to sit out. Pledge to Vote today and make sure your voice is heard this Tuesday, December 4th!
